Le Phare, Le Locle, made for Frantz Piret, Chevalier de l'ordre de la Couronne, Directeur des Services Frigorifiques de l'etat belge, dated 1931.Very fine, 18K gold massive hunting-cased astronomical perpetual calendar watch with phases of the moon, minute-repeating and chronograph with instantaneous 30-minute register.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished, gold hinged cuvette engraved with date and dedication. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths, five-minute/seconds Arabic markers, four subsidiary sunk dials for days of the week, date, months of the leap year cycle concentric with minute register, and subsidiary seconds at 9 o'clock concentric with phases of the moon aperture. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 47 mm. (21'''), rhodium-plated, 21 jeels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, silent "cross" centrifugal governor, repeating on gongs by depressing a pushbutton in the band at 6 o'clock.Signed on the cuvette.
