Four-body, massive, scalloped edge, spring-loaded back with painted on rose enamel bouquets of flowers, alternating with graduated half-pearls sectors forming a Catherine wheel, central rosette with painted on rose enamel bouquet of flowers, bezel en suite with the back, very thin band with its scalloped edges painted inside, to see when the back cover is open, with flowers on alternating green and rose enamels, enameled pendant, graduated pearl-set bow, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel,radial Islamic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Breguet hands. M. 36 mm (16'''), frosted gilt, early bridge calibre, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance with flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette and on the dial with Arabic characters. Diam. 50 mm

Blondel & Melly, 15 Quai des Bergues, Geneva, 1820 - 1850.Watchmakers and merchants. Very high quality watches, specially formed and sealed cases, enamel, pearls and stones, complicated watches. One miniature watch signed in 1840. By its diameter of 16 mm and its weight of 1.5 g, this watch is the smallest ever made in the XIX century. Rue Kléberg. In 1844.
