Central Switzerland, circa 1740. Fine and rare painted wood single-hand weight-driven hour striking bracket wall clock.

C. Rectangular, painted black with red accents, hinged side doors, hook at the top, bun feet. D. Pewter ring, Roman numerals, inner quarter ring. Single pierced brass hand. M. Steel frame, two-tier, weight and cord driven with counterweight, verge escapement with pendulum running in the back, round bob, steel rod, count wheel on the back. Dim. 30 x 23 cm
