The Diamond Star Adamson à Paris, No. 842, circa 1790. Very fine and elegant, slim, 18K gold and enamel, pearl- and diamond-set quarter-repeating watch in a glazed gilt brass protecting case.

C. Double-body, "Directoire", with split pearl-set bezels, the translucent dark blue enamel back centered with a large diamond and encircled by a multicolored floral paillon rosette. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals and "star" minute divisions. Gold skeletonized hands. M. 40.5 mm. (18'''), slim, hinged, gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, the motor barrel passing through the back plate, cylinder escapement, countersunk plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, reeating on a bell by depressing the pendant.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 56 mm.
