François Allègre, A TOULON, No. 16, circa 1820. Fine and unusual large silver watch with regulator dial and stop feature.
C. Four-body, a mixture "Empire" and "bassine et filets", polished with reeded band, gilt hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, small Breguet hour chapter at the top, center Arabic minute chapter with ten-minute Arabic markers, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "lozenge" hands. M. 54 mm., frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, cylinder escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, mechanism for stopping the watch for precision setting with activationever under the bezel at 4 o'clock. Diam. 62 mm.Signed on the dial and cuvette.
