Gs. Calame Robert, La-Chaux-de-Fonds (Swiss), No. 332959, circa 1910.Fine and unusual, 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, independent center-seconds watch with 1/4 second foudroyante.
C. Four-body, massive, "bassine et filets", engine turned, vacant cartouche. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and independent seconds rings and 1/4 second diablotine. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. 18''', nickel, "fausses côtes" decoration, straight-line counter poised lever escapement, 27 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold mean and temperature screws, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, jeweled to the center with endstoneson the entire escapement, independent dead seconds by means of two-flirt wheel acting on a small pinion mounted on the escape wheel arbor, independent seconds activated by push pieces in the band.Diam. 56 mm.
