"SMA", France, circa 1915. Very fine Art Deco gold, platinum, enamel, tortoiseshell and ivory calling card case with blue Jasperware plaque.

C. Three-body, the center made from a single piece of tortoiseshell engine-turned in a straight line pattern, the front with applied Wedgwood type blue and white porcelain medallion of a nymph encircled by a diamond-set platinum frame with platinum tassels, the base and the hinged top cover of gold-set ivory with gold frame decorated with champlevé azure enamel, diamond-set platinum clasp.Punched with maker's mark on the clasp and the lid base.Dim. 88 x 57 x 15 mm.
