"PC", Paris, circa 1860. Very fine 18K gold, diamond- and turquoise-set musical patch box.

C. Designed as a lady's purse, engine-turned in a circular pattern, each circle centered by a turquoise, the hinged cover with a diamond- and turquoise-set belt, activating push-button at the left side panel. M. Rectangular, 33 x 18 x 8 mm, barillet type with 10 tuned vibrating blades with tails (grasshopper type, pinion governor set in eccentric bushing for speed adjustment.Punched with maker's trademark inside the lid and in the box, movement punched 577.Dim. 67 x 39 mm.
