Swiss or French, circa 1870. Fine brass and steel face plate engine. Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, steel bed, driven by two-wheel transmission with a crank lever, two-directional slide rest controlled by knurled nut and crank lever, angular cutter adjustment, T-rest, period wooden base. Base dim. 26.5 cm x 10 cm, overall 52 cm. Very good condition. A very well preserved tool.
