Swiss or French, circa 1840. Fine steel and brass face plate engine. Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, steel bed, driven by in-line two wheel transmission with a crank lever, two-directional slide rest controlled by cranks, angular cutter adjustment. Later wooden base and third wheel. Base dim. 39 cm x 20 cm. Overall 55 cm. Good condition. A very well preserved tool.
