Swiss or German, circa 1780. Fine cast iron wheel dividing (slotting) engine. Horizontal brass dividing plate set with 19 rows of divisions, spring-loaded hinged locking arm with a thumb loop, pivoted cutting arm with a slide and a crank lever, conical blank holding fixture, iron holding arm with screw, three steel feet. Dim. 47 x 22 cm. Polished and lacquered.
