The Pear Geneva, circa 1810. Fine 18K gold and painted on enamel form watch designed as a pear, in original leather fitted box.
C. Two-body, spring-loaded, in the form of a green pear decorated with blue and black champlevé edges and white and yellow enamel flowers, base with applied small 5-petal flower. Morocco box tooled in gold. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute dot divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 1 o'clock. Blued steel hands. M. 20 mm. (9''', hinged, frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock.Dim. Height 40 mm, diam. 24 mm.
