Swiss or French, circa 1900. Fine steel and brass face plate engine. Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, brass bed, driven by in-line transmission via a crank lever with syncromesh gearing, two-directional slide rest controlled by crank and knurled screw, angular cutter adjustment. Later wooden base . Base dim. 28 x 14 cm, overall 38 cm long. Good condition. A very well preserved tool.
