Notes

This rounding-up tool is one of the very few examples known to exist with Christen's Micrometric Feed. This system allowed the watchmaker to feed the cutting blade into the gear very accurately, thereby allowing the operator to produce extremely precise gear trains for watches requiring very accurate movements, Observatory trial watches are just one example.
