Exceptional horologic works of art

Swiss or French, circa 1900. Fine steel and brass face plate engine. Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, brass bed, driven by in-line transmission via a crank lever with straight cut gearing, two-directional slide rest controlled by crank and knurled nut, angular cutter adjustment. Later wooden base. Base dim. 25 x 15 cm, overall 37 cm long. Good condition. A very well preserved tool.
