An impressive watch which was commissioned from an excellent artisan, to commemorate the movie ?Titanic?, it is based on a movement from circa 1912, the year the Titanic sank,The Titanic was often called a? floating city?. It was built in 1912 for $ 7,500,000, which is about $ 400,000,000 today. The movie directed by James Cameron, "Titanic" had a budget of $ 200,000,000. Its engines required 650 tons of coal per day. It carried about 30 tons of fresh meat, and 40,000 fresh eggs. The cost of a first class parlor suite was $ 4,350 about $ 50,000 today. It set off on its maiden voyage on April 10, 1912, with almost 1000 crew members and over 1500 passengers. Late on the night of Sunday April 14th the ship struck an iceberg. Less than three hours later it sank, in what was perhaps the most famous and tragic shipwreck in history.
