The Pear. Geneva, No. 8111, circa 1810. Fine 18K gold and painted on enamel form watch designed as a pear.
C. Two-body, spring-loaded, formed as a yellow and red pear decorated with champlevé blue, black, white and green flowers, one with a colorful fly, base with small champlevé rosette, gold suspension stem. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute dot divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Blued steel hands. M. 20 mm. (9'''), hinged, frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock.Dim. Height 52 mm, diam. 24 mm.
