Lovers' Promenade. Attributed to Piguet & Capt, Geneva, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel diamond-set sealing wax box fitted with a watch with visible balance.

Two-body, the hinged top fitted with a watch with green champlevé bezel, two panels centered by a flower vase with scarlet translucent enamel base, the center depicting a couple in the woods, canted corners with white enamel and gold laurel-leaf pattern, the side panels in azure champlevé enamel, irregular translucent imperial blue enamel cartouches over engine-turning, gold suspension chain, diamond-set push-button. D. Small white enamel, eccentric, Breguet numerals set at the lower part of translucent imperial blue enamel rectangular plate, aperture at the top for diamond-set balance spinning against polished steel plate. Blued steel "spade" hands.M. Rectangular, 23 x 14 mm, brass, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm diamond-set gold balance with flat balance spring.Dim. 78 x 32 x 25 mm.
