Mermod frères, (Sainte Croix Geneva, circa 1870. Fine gilt brass 8-day going miniature carriage clock with date in original leather fitted box.

C. Rectangular with glazed all side panels and top, molded base, edges decorated with repeated pattern, back with hinged door, hinged, corrugated handle. D. White circular enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, subsidiary enamel date dial set below, set in matte gilt panel. Blued steel ?spade? hands. M. Rectangular, 47 x 30 mm, going barrel, platform with lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring.Signed on the dial and the box.Signed on the dial and the box.Dim. 74 x 72 mm.
