Souvenir d'ami Jaqs. Coulin & Amy Bry, Geneva, circa 1790. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel quarter-repeating watch with special repeat system and the bells incorporated within the movement.

C. Outer: two-body, gilt, glazed back, pierced band. Inner: ?Directoire?, painted on enamel scene of a courting couple in an ornamental garden with paillon decoration, split pearl-set bezels and chased band. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic five minutes, eccentric winding hole. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Hinged gilt brass inverted one quarter plate with cylindrical pillars, free-standing barrel under the bells, converted from virgule to cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Repeating by depressing the pendant, on two bells included in the movement.Dial and movement signed.Diam. 57 mm.
