H. Sarton a Liege, circa 1775. 75. Fine and rare eight day going, hour and half hour striking, red tortoise shell Louis XV cartel with matching bracket.
C. Shaped, tortoise shell veneered by J.F. Duhamel (master's mark on the back door with floral and rocaille gilt bronze doors feet and applied ornaments, a bird at the top. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, Arabic five minuets. Gilt brass ?Louis XV? hands.M. Brass, circular, with going barrels for strike and going train, anchor escapement, half second beating pendulum with silk suspension, hammers striking on two bells, missing quarter repeating train.Dial signed, dim: 102 x 43 x 21 cm.
