The Tulip. B & S, Geneva, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel, pearl-set box in original fitted leather case.
C. Two-body, oval, the lid with a large, finely painted on enamel tulip with half pearl-set leaves, a pearl-set bud below, the whole on a brown enamel ground, the band with a geometrical pattern between two azure enamel lines, the base with sunburst engine-turning, azure band and geometrical pattern frame.Dim. 61 x 37 mm.
