Appay, Swiss, No. 4519, circa 1910. Very fine gilt silver and enamel and agate, minute-repeating eight-day going desk clock in original fitted leather box.
C. Rectangular, engine-turned with straight-line pattern bordered with white enamel, white enamel bezel, agate base. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic markers. Diamond-set hands. M. By Nocturne, rectangular, 53 x 36 mm, frosted gilt, going barrel, platform with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing the push-piece at the top.Signed on the movement, retailer on the dial.Dim. Height 74 mm, base width 63 mm.
