Pierre Patron L'ainé, Genève, circa 1775. Fine 18K gold dumb quarter-repeating watch with à tact option.
C. Two-body, "Louis XVI", engine-turned in a wickerwork pattern. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Brass "beetle and poker" hands. M. 36 mm. (16'''), hinged, frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, originally verge escapement (now converted to lever) gold balance with flat balance spring, continental cock with cut upper portion to view the gold balance, repeating on gold blocks by depressing the pendant.Signed on the movement, case punched "PR".Diam. 45 mm.
