Ilbery, London, No. 6810, made for the Chinese market circa 1830. Very fine,18K gold and enamel, pearl-set, center seconds watch. Accompanied by an original wooden fitted box.
C. three-body, ?bassine?, gold hinged cuvette, the back enameled with a geometric pattern on blue ground within a fruit of the vine surround on black ground, half pearl-set bezels, chased band, half pearl-set pendant and bow. D. white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds ring, fifteen-minute/second Arabic markers. Gold ?cup? hands. M. 48 mm (21''', gilt brass ?Chinese? caliber, free-standing barrel, ruby duplex escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Movement signed.Diam. 55 mm.
