After the Hunt. Charles DU TERTRE, A Paris, No. 806, hallmarked 1776. Fine and very thin, 20K gold and painted on enamel, diamond-set pocket watch.
C. Two-body, by master casemaker Pierre-Louis Foulle, "Louis XVI", back painted on enamel and geometrically engraved, depicting a hunter offering trophies to a lady, bezels decorated with enamel flower wreath, diamond-set pendant. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Brass "sun" hands. M. 34 mm., hinged, frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, continental cock.Signed on dial and movement, case punched with Foulle's trademark.Diam. 41 mm.
