Souvenir D'Amitié. Geneva, circa 1800. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel pearl-set étui à tablettes.

C. Two-body, hinged, with predominantly translucent imperial blue enamel, each side with two panels, the lower ones painted on one side with a young lady at the altar of love with courting doves, leaf and flower frame, the back with bouquet of flowers in an en suite frame, top panels with the words "Souvenir d'amitié" in finely painted garlands of flowers, translucent green enamel foliate border set with split pearls on matte gold background, the top edge en suite with small blue rosette in the center. Inside two ivory hinged tablets and a gold covered pencil.
