Geneva, goldsmith's mark "LG", circa 1815. Very fine and small 18K gold and painted on enamel patch box.

C. Two-body, rectangular, the lid centered with painted on enamel flower vase against brown background, the whole against translucent red enamel over engine-turning, geometrical border in black enamel pattern, side panels and base en suite with white and blue champlevé enamel borders, corners with cornucopias in white enamel on black enamel background. Punched with maker's mark inside the box.Dim. 82 x 16 x 10 mm.
