James Tregent, Leicester Square, London, 1272, English, hallmarked 1768-69. Very fine 22K gold and enamel pair-cased watch with matching chatelaine.
C. Two-body, "Consular", back richly decorated with translucent imperial blue and green enamel forming a bouquet of flowers, florally decorated bezels in translucent imperial blue enamel, fixed cuvette entirely engraved with bouquet of flowers. Châtelaine: of four links decorated en suite with four chains terminating in gold hooks. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 37 mm., frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footed cock.Signed on the movement, case punched "D.A".Length with chatelaine 17 cm,Diam. 48 mm.
