Geneva, No. 2296, circa 1820. Very fine and rare gold and painted on enamel paillon-decorated bonbonnière.
C. Two-piece, the lid painted on enamel with a lady and gentleman fishing beside a waterfall, a harbor and mountains in the background, the top with a painted oval medallion depicting Flora and Cupid over a translucent imperial blue enamel ground over sunburst engine-turning, gold paillon leaf frame, band and base with white and turquoise enamel decorated with a repeated pattern. Each part punched with prestige marks.Diam. 63 mm, height 17 mm.
