Bovet, Fleurier, No. 672, made for the Chinese market circa 1840. Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel, split pearl-set center seconds watch with special escapement.
C. Three-body, "Chinese" type, back panel finely painted on enamel with bouquet of flowers on a lavender background, bezels with translucent enamels over flinqué set with graduated split-pearls, pendant and bow en suite, hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds track with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabic markers. Gold "spoon" hands. M. 49.6 mm (22""), gilt brass, fully engraved "Chinese" calibre with standing barrel, ruby duplex escapement, three-arm steel balance, flat balance spring.Signed on the movement.Diam. 57 mm.
