Four-body, "Empire", spring-loaded back cover finely painted on enamel with courting doves among flowers on green background, split-pearl bezels, champlevé enamel band, pendant and bow decorated with foliate pattern, pendant and bow set with graduated split-pearls. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions. Blued steel "spoon" hands. M. 47.4 mm (21'''), steel "Chinese" caliber with standing barrel, steel train, ruby duplex escapement with unusual bimetallic three-arm balance with three wedged weights secured from the top with blued steel plates, entire escapement and train to the third wheel jeweled.Signed on the dial and movement, numbered on the case.Diam. 57 mm.

The present watch is fitted with a three-arm bimetallic balance unusual for Chinese watches. A very similar watch, almost the pendant to this one, was in the Lord Sandberg Collection see Antiquorum, March 31, 2001, No. 281.
