Notes

An interesting watch proudly called by its maker "Calibre Fatio-Junot". The watch differs from other bagnolet calibers in that the balance bridge and the barrel are visible through the openings in the dial. Bagnolet Caliber. In the bagnolet caliber the movement is inverted and the train reversed. The idea was to make a very thin watch by reducing the thickness of the bridges and the dial and eliminate the cuvette. Jacques-Alphonse Fatio-Junod. A maker of repute, he is best known for his bagnolet watches. Fatio-Junod is recorded from 1844 to 1861, in Genève's Plainpalais quarter, Chemin Gourgas."Dictionnaire des horlogers genevois" by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Antiquorum Editions, Geneva, 1998.
