Louis Audemars, Brassus, No. 12141, circa 1878. Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless astronomical minute-repeating watch with perpetual calendar, retrograde fly-back date, digital days of the week and phases and age of the moon.
C. Five-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned covers, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, three subsidiary sunk dials for months, phases of the moon aperture with age of the moon sector, subsidiary seconds, date sector below 12 o'clock and below aperture for days of the week. Gold "spade" hands. M. 42.8 mm (19'''), maillechort (rhodiumed), "fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, Breguet balance spring, gold wheel train, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.Signed on case and movement.Diam. 54 mm.
