Percy Webster, Vendor, London, No. G.P.S./3295, case with London hallmarks for 1883-1884. Rare and important 18K gold hunting-cased two-train keyless minute-repeating watch with dead independent centre seconds, movement attributable to Louis Audemars, stamped on the pillar plate No. 11956.
C. Five-body, massive "bassine", polished, engraved with crest and monogram, hinged gold cuvette.D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "Spade" hands. M. 43 mm. (19'''), frosted gilt three-quarter plate, two train with differential winding, 26 jewels in screwed settings, going barrels, pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, free-sprung cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve, independent seconds by means of a flirt on the escape pinion, with locking bolt in the band, two hammers repeating on gongs via slide in the band.Movement signed.Diam. 54 mm.
