Maurice, Geneva, No. 4106, circa 1880. Fine and unusual, 18K gold, hunting-cased key-wound, two-train watch with independent center- seconds.
C. Four-body, massive, "bassine et filets", engine-turned,vacant cartouche. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and independent seconds rings. Gold "spade" hands. M. 42 mm (18.5'''), nickel, "fausses côtes" decoration, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, 26 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, independent dead seconds by means of two-flirt wheel acting on a small pinion mounted on the escape wheel arbor, independent seconds activated by a slide in the band.Cuvette signed.Diam. 48 mm.
