L'Epine â Paris (Swiss), circa 1785. Fine and interesting double-glazed 18K gold and diamond-set watch with skeletonized visible move- ment.

C. two-body, Louis XVI, glazed on both sides, the bezels set with diamonds, engraved band. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 24 mm., hinged, gilt, skeletonized top plate, cylindrical pillars, fusée and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm steel balance with blued steel balance spring, small triangular cock, applied silver ornament pierced and engraved with foliage, surmountd by a crown and set with rose-cut diamonds. Dial signed. Diam. 31 mm.
