Geneva, No. 23270, circa 1820.Fine and rare, large and slim 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set, center-seconds watch, made for the Chinese market.
C. two-body, back cover with translucent imperial blue enamel over elaborate engine-turning centered by a pearl, pearl-set bezels,paillon on the back, pendant and neck decorated en suite, concealed hinges. Gold cuvette hinged to the movement ring. D. whiteenamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold "fancy pierced" hands. M. 42 mm, gilt and engraved, free-standing barrel,cylinder escapement with brass escape wheel, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance-spring.Diam. 54 mm.
