Louis Audemars, Brassus and Geneva, No. 11747, made in 1872, sold on September 2, 1882 for 1,500 SF. Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased keyless double-faced astronomical watch with perpetual calendar and phases and age of the moon.

C. Five-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned, bezels on both sides.D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, subsidiary sunk seconds. Calendar dial: enamel with four subsidiary sunk dials for days of the week, date, months of the four year leap cycle and subsidiary seconds concentric with phases of the moon aperture, lunar age scale on the edge. Gold and blued steel "Spade" hands.M. 42,8 mm (19???), frosted gilt half-plate, 18 jewels, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring. Signed on dial and case, movement and case with the same number, phases of the moon disc signed "Ls. Aude-mars" under the counter-enamel.Diam. 55 mm.
