English, circa 1710. Very fine ebonized and ormolu-mounted, hour-striking, quarter hour carillon repeating bracket clock with date and mock pendulum.

Rectangular with molded base and top, glazed side panels, hinged back and front doors, the front with applied repousse decoration, rich repousse dome with fighting knights, hinged ormolu handle, four finials.D. Silvered ring, radial Roman numerals fleur-de-lis half-hours, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, matted gilt brass center with winding apertures, aperture for mock pendulum and for date. Blued-steel elaborate hands.M. Rectangular, brass, fusee and chain on each train, verge escapement, brass pendulum with small tear-drop bob and silk suspension running between cycloidal cheeks, six-bell carillon pull repeater striking by six hammers.Dim: Height 42 cm (without handle), width 26 cm.
