C. Outer: two-body, Louis XV, back finely repoussé, pronounced hinge. Inner: two-body, "bassine" with deepback.D. Gold, Roman numerals, arcaded minute divisions, five-minute Arabic markers on polished cartouches,center with filigree decoration over polished steel giving a mirror effect, date aperture at 6 o?clock. Blued steel"Louis XV" hands.M. 42 mm (19???), frosted gilt full-plate with pierced pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapementbrass balance with flat balance spring, Dutch-type cock with ruby endstone. Movement signed, inner casepunched "MT" surmounted by a crown. Diam. 58 mm.

Abraham Collomby Maître horloger 1745-1760, and subsequently Collomby & Cie, which firm remained active until the early 19th cen-tury. Collomby made fine quality watches, pair-cased watches, and watches decorated with pearls, precious stones and enamel, and exported to Italy, Spain, England, and their colonies.
