The Obelisk Attributed to Piguet & Capt, Geneva, circa 1805. Very fine and extremely rare 18K gold and painted on enamel, pearl-set musical pendant in the shape of an obelisk, fitted with a watch.

Obelisk-form with rectangular base, front painted on enamel with musical instruments, roses and musical score, the watch in the lower part with pearl-set bezel, back painted with Bacchus and his pipe and a statue below on azure enamel background, sides with red and white enamel of repeated pattern, loose suspension ring with short chain, four bun feet.D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 7 o?clock, translucent imperial blue enamel border with gold foliate decoration. Blued steel "spade" hands.M. Trapezoidal, 18 x 17 mm, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock. Musical: barillet type with seven stacked tuned vibrating blades, five-wheel train, eccentric bushing speed regulating.Dim. 72 x 21 mm.
