Swiss, case No. 2396. Produced in the 1890s. Very fine and rare, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter repeating, 18K pink gold pocket watch with chronograph.
C. Four body,"bassine et filets", solid, polished, case back with monogram, transparent inner case back, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer 1/5th seconds scale, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Cal. 20''', rhodium-plated, 28 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating a button on the band, the button at 12 is for start-stop and return tzero functions of the chronograph.Diam. 58 mm.
