C. Double body outer, Louis XVI, with paste-set bezel, the back with the painted enamel portrait of a lady within a paste-set frame and outer paste set foliage decoration. Inner bassine, polished. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Paste-set Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English style cock with garnet end-stone.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 37 mm.

Notes
Michel Vieusseux (Vieussieux), (1723-1801)Master watchmaker. He worked in cooperation with his brother Jean between 1759 and 1769. In 1770, when the brothers took on other associates, they changed the company name to Vieusseux Jean et Michel & Cie, and this name remained until 1782. They were known for their crafting of double box watches, which contained classical movements and were decorated with enamel, gold, and three colour stones.
