Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", the cover decorated with a maiden seating among foliage, with subsidiary gold engraved inlaid foliage decoration, the back decorated with Chinese maidens playing music. Hinged silver cuvette disclosing the silvered and gilt automaton scene. D. White enamel with cubic Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 20''' gilt brass, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. The automaton sceneovements are driven by the repeating train without striking work, hammers and gongs, the slide in the band.Diam. 58 mm.
