Double body, Louis XV with polished bezel, the enamel back painted with a very fine scene, depicting Venus and Adonis, assisted by Cupid, the enamel backing, inside the case, painted en grisaille with a beggar. Glased outer protecting cased, polished.D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 54 mm.
