Connell, 35, Cheapside, London, French, made for the English Market, circa 1890.Fine and rare gilt bronze, hour and half hour striking and repeating carriage clock with porcelain panels.

C. Gilt bronze, "cannelée", glazed on the top, the porcelain side and back panels painted with woodland scenes. D. Decorated en suite with Roman numerals. Blued-steel "fuseau" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Striking and repeating on a gong with button on the top.Signed on the dial.Dim. 13 x 9 x 8 cm., excluding the handle.
