Swiss, No. 300, circa 1940.Fine and unusual gilt brass eight day going alarm clock with singing bird in original fitted box.
C. Designed as a small portico clock, engine-turned with fluted columns, the bird on the rectangular base, the enamel lid painted with a lakeside landscape.D. Gilt brass with luminescent Arabic numerals and small subsidiary alarm setting dial. Luminescent "skeleton" hands. M. Nickel plate full plate with going barrels, the back plate relived for straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Singing bird movement: brass rectangular, located in the base with rectangular bellow and fly regulator, the going barrel with two cams driving the movements of the bird moving wings, beak and pivoting.Dim. 15 x 10 x 5 cm.
