English, circa 1900.Fine and unusual rosewood, eight day going, quarter striking bracket clock in the 18th century style with Westminster carillon.
C. Moulded rectangular with canted corners and triangular pediment, gilt bronze applied decoration, pierced side panels and foliate feet, D. Silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, subsidiary dials for Chime/Silent and Fast/Slow regulator index. Blued steel "Louis XIV" hands. Polished gilt brass dial plate with applied gilt bronze spandrels and further decoration. M. Brass rectangular with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, fusee with chain on both the going ad the striking trains, anchor escapement, the bob with spring suspension; striking hours on a gong, Westminster carillon on four gongs.Dim. 49 x 32 x 24 cm.
