Notes

This unusual and probably unique small marine chronometer appears to have been completed by James Hatton from an ebauche of an eight day going pocket chronometer coming from the workshop of George Margetts.James Hatton was apprenticed to George Margetts circa 1799, before becoming his partner from 1805 to 1811.
